Her parents preceded her in death. She attended A.J. Moore High School in Waco, Texas. She professed a hope in Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. George Johnson at the Second Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to Claremore with her husband Ollie Dixon, Sr. They then moved to St Baptist Church of Lawton, Oklahoma with the late Rev Jesse L. Davenport and the present Pastor Fowler. She was very active and attended Sunday School regularly. She was a member of the Usher Board, the Senior Womens' Circle and Pastor's Aide for many years. She was a former member of the Zeta Amicae Auxiliary which allowed her to travel many areas of the United States. She was a member of the Shenlykes Social and Civic Club. She leaves to cherish her memory; a loving sister, Mrs Mable Routt, Waco Texas; two stepchildren, Ollie Dixon, Jr., of Pawnee Oklahoma, and Pearl Moore of Los Angeles, California; one grandson, Dwight Eric Moore, Claremore, Oklahoma; the eldest niece, Averee Russell, Atlanta Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends;; a devoted sister-in-law, Audra White of Claremore Oklahoma. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Rogers County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/rogers/rogers.htm
