He was 76. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore. Interment follows at Woodlawn. Arrangements are under the direction of Claremore Funeral Home 341-4512. Espey was born Feb. 13, 1926 in Maryville, Mo., to Earl Charles and Sybil (Auten) Espey. He graduated from Maryville High School in 1943. He served in Korea with the 289th Combat M.P. Company, Eyecorps, 8th Army. On Sept. 2, 1954, George married Mike Sitton in Maryville, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Mary Jane Willsie, and sister-in-law, Anna Espey.
