Mary went to her family and friends in Heaven on Monday, March 18, 2002. Mary was well-known in the Chelsea-Claremore area for her kindness and helpfulness to others and for the dish cloths and wash cloths she enjoyed knitting and giving to new friends as well as old. She was born July 24, 1918 in Leach, Okla., to Silas Irvin Wilson and Nettie Ann (Ward) Wilson and graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1938. She married her husband, Ed Geiger Jr., on April 2, 1939 and they spent 27 years together before his death on July 18, 1966. After her husband's death, Mary continued to live in Tulsa, where she raised their two young sons and worked as a senior aide at St. John's Hospital. She retired with more than 20 years of service. She is survived by her sons, Ed and wife Karen of Chelsea and Gaylen and wife Kathy of Tahlihina; daughters, Marguerite Wendell and husband Leo of Riverside, Calif., and Mary A. Braum of Tulsa; grandchildren, Merry Leona Wendell, Danna Cantrell, Angela (Geiger) Rhoten and husband Jason, Jennifer (Geiger) Chacon and husband Miguel, Matthew Geiger, April Geiger, Candace Feary and husband Jimmy and Joslyn Hughes; great-grandsons, Brian, Jason and Robert Cantrell and William Blake Feary; brother, Darrell Wilson of Tulsa; and a special friend of more than 70 years, Daisy Wilson of Bixby. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, John, Leonard, Andy, Tom and J.C. Wilson; and sisters, Wilma Girten and Clemie Weese. Family visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service, 211 E. Broadway in Sand Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorial and Tribute Processing, P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, KS 66601- 1653.
