Gilbert Memorial services for Yvonne F. Gilbert were 10 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2002 at Claremore Funeral Home Chapel. Gilbert passed away Monday, June 3, 2002 in Tulsa. She was 77. The daughter of Arthur and Frances (Scherer) Nesso was born March 22, 1925 in Rush City, Minn. Yvonne was a homemaker and artist whose love for nature was reflected in her paintings. She was a member of Three Rivers Artists Association. Yvonne participated in numerous art exhibits in which she received quite a few awards. She was a volunteer at Claremore Indian Hospital. Her travels throughout the world brought her to live on both coasts, in Germany and Toulouse, France. But her greatest joy was spending time painting with her husband O.J. Yvonne was preceded in death by daughters, Karen Beck and Bonnie Jung. Survivors include her husband, O.J. Gilbert of Claremore; children, Rick Beck of Vinita, Kerry Beck of Whitney, Texas, Arne Beck of Littleton, Colo., Randy Beck of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., Joe Gilbert of Irving, Texas, and Jack Gilbert of Longview, Texas; and 16 grandchildren.
