Born in Glendale, N.Y., to John and Joanna Uhl Glasser on March 10, 1919, Arthur was reared and educated in Richmond Hill, N.Y. He graduated from Richmond Hill High School and then entered the Army. After his honorable discharge, he continued his education in New York City, studying accounting. It was here that Arthur met Jean Morrissey, the sister of an Army buddy. They were married in Richmond Hill at the St. Benedict Joseph Church on June 25, 1949. Arthur continued his education, working nights to support his new wife and family. Eventually, three sons blessed their home. After Arthur earned his degree, he became employed at American Airlines as an accountant supervisor and the family moved to Claremore in 1979. He retired in 1984, allowing more time to spend on his favorite hobby - golf. He was active in the VFW, Claremore Elks Lodge and as a volunteer at Meals-on- Wheels. He and Jean loved attending parties and dancing together, which they did frequently. Arthur adored his family and treasured the times they were able to spend together. He was eagerly anticipating the christening of his great-granddaughter, Marleigh. These not-to-be-missed family events were the highlights of his full and happy life. Those who survive this dedicated family man are his wife of 53 years, Jean of their home in Claremore; sons, Paul Glasser and wife Pat of Monroe, N.Y., Vince Glasser of Broken Arrow and Chris Glasser of Corinth, Texas; grandchildren, Erik Glasser, stationed with the Army in Germany, Dan Glasser of Monroe, N.Y., Tim Glasser of Skiatook, Jenn Allwelt and husband Randy of Broken Arrow, Joe Glasser, a student at TU in Tulsa, Nikki Glasser of Stroudburg, Pa., Alexa Glasser of Corinth, Texas and Evan Glasser, also of Corinth; and great- granddaughter, Marleigh Allwelt of Broken Arrow.
