Obituary of Ira Thomas Hale

Ira Thomas Hale Services Are Held

Funeral services were held in the Musgrove funeral chapel today for Ira Thomas Hale,
89, a pioneer Claremore grocer, who died in a Tulsa hospital Sunday.  Until his 
retirement in 1951, Mr. Hale had been a grocer and merchantile [sic] dealer here since 1906.

Mr. Hale is survived by a son, W. L. Hale of Tulsa; three sisters, Mrs. Lula Dowdy of 
Stinnett, Tex., Mrs. Bell Alston of Amarillo, Tex., and Mrs. Bessie Cruce of Brownfield,
Tex., and three brothers, Dr. J. W. Hale of Clovis, N. M., G. T. Hale of Americus, Ga.,
and George M. Hale of Pine Bluff, Ark.
