Until his retirement in 1951, Mr. Hale had been a grocer and merchantile [sic] dealer here since 1906. Mr. Hale is survived by a son, W. L. Hale of Tulsa; three sisters, Mrs. Lula Dowdy of Stinnett, Tex., Mrs. Bell Alston of Amarillo, Tex., and Mrs. Bessie Cruce of Brownfield, Tex., and three brothers, Dr. J. W. Hale of Clovis, N. M., G. T. Hale of Americus, Ga., and George M. Hale of Pine Bluff, Ark. --Claremore Progress, Claremore, Oklahoma, ? November 1957 (died 3 November 1957)
