Burial followed at the Chelsea Cemetery under the direction of the Chelsea Funeral Home. Sophia died Monday, Jan. 13, at Claremore Regional Hospital at the age of 99. The daughter of Jacob W. "Bert" and Lulu Grant Tillery Robinson was born Nov. 1, 1903, in Callen, Mo. When she was two years old her family came to Fairfax, Okla. by railroad. They later moved to Bushyhead in a covered wagon. In 1923 she graduated from Chelsea High School. Sophia married Earl J. Holman in 1927 in Pryor. They made their home by the Totem Pole near Foyil. They farmed and raised cattle and chickens. After their son, Joe, died, they took over his store "Little Joe's." They ran the store until Earl died in 1989. Sophia attended the Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing and cooking, and was known for her special cornbread dressing. Sophia was the last survivor of the original totem pole community. She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl, and son, Joe.
