Dennis Ritchie officiating. Burial will follow, under direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service, Claremore. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1-8 p.m. on Tuesday. Pearl died Sunday morning, July 7 at Claremore Regional Hospital at the age of 95. The daughter of Ott and Susie Shepherd Bridgeman was born March 10, 1907 in Vinita, Indian Territory. Pearl graduated from Vinita High School in 1927 and won a beauty contest the same year. She married Eugene Franklin Heller in 1927 and they made their home in Vinita. In 1955, Eugene died and Pearl moved to Tulsa. Pearl worked as a dental assistant for 19 years. In 1964, she married Maynard Forstell. He died in 1979. Pearl lived in Claremore since 1995. She was a member of First Christian Church, Vinita, Order of Eastern Stars, Claremore Past Matrons Club, Daughters of Nile and Daughters of Confederacy. Pearl was attending the First Presbyterian Church, Claremore. Pearl had done work for the Shriners Hospital and helped raise money for property for the Big Cabin Creek UDC Memorial. Pearl is survived by her daughter, Twila Black-Little of Claremore; brother, Stanley R. Bridgeman of Vinita; grandchildren, Sidney Hildum, Joel Sims, James A. Black Jr. and Kellee Brown; and four great-grandchildren.
