She was born June 26, 1922 in Chelsea, Oklahoma. She was married to Charles Hohenstein on November 23, 1946 in Columbus, Kansas, who preceded her in death August 16, 1987. They moved to White City, Oregon, from Vinita, Oklahoma in 1962. She worked for the 3M company of White City, Oregon from 1967 until her retirement in 1984. Jean was a member of the Eagle Point Baptist Church. Jean was an avid reader, crocheting and spending time traveling and visiting her sons, daughters, and grandchildren during her retirement. She was a warm and caring person, and was always eager to lend a hand in any situation. She enjoyed life to its fullest, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Jean was preceded in death by three brothers, Woodrow Vandagriff, Jack Vandagriff, Leonard Vandagriff; one sister, Katherine Garis; and one grandson, Lance Minor. She is survived by one brother, Vernon Vandagriff and wife, Ruth of Oolagah, Oklahoma; two sons, John A. Hohenstein and wife, Jolene of Chelsea, Oklahoma, and Charles Hohenstein and wife, Linda of Simms, Montana; two daughters, Carla Minor and Leon of Medford, Oregon, and Toots Young and husband, Ron of Sams Valley, Oregon; six grandchildren, Shanen Hohenstein and wife, Jo Lynn of Claremore, Oklahoma, Lisa Mannon of the United States Air Force, Tracy Hohenstein and wife, Lisa of Atlanta, Georgia, Scott Brown and wife, Holly of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lori Minor of Medford, Oregon, Dustin Madden and wife, Christine of Medford, Oregon; nine great-grandchildren, Chelsea Minor of Medford, Oregon, Jonathan (Lance) Minor of Medford, Oregon, Shane Mannon of Gore, Oklahoma, Max Mannon of Gore, Oklahoma, Haylie Hersha of Medford, Oregon, Briani Stanford of Columbus, Ohio, Dylann Marie Brown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Rhyann Mckenna Brown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Coral Ann Madden of Medford, Oregon. Arrangements by Conger-Morris of Central Point Oregon.
