All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Oak Hill FH--San Jose CA Jimmie Irene Hartter-Piercy A resident of Santa Clara, California, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, February 2, 2007 of lung cancer. She was 86 years old. Jimmie will be remembered for her warm smile, sense of humor and love of life. As well as her singing, dancing, acting and musical talents with the Santa Clara Senior Band, led by her cherished friend and music mentor, Cleo. Who could forget her rousing rendition of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" and her role as 'Granny' in the 2002 production: "Curses Foiled Again". Born in Claremore, Oklahoma and raised in Peoria, Illinois, and moved to San Jose in 1947. She was the wife of the late John Francis Hartter and of the late Marion Piercy. Loving mother of John Hartter (Bonnie), Mike Hartter (Marge) and Janice Staples (Bruce); Nonny (Grandmother) of Chris Hartter (Holly), Shari Reading (Mitch), Kelly Staples (Sara), Brett Staples (Adrienne), Carl Hartter and Troy Hartter; Great-Grandmother of Lacy, Thomas and Evelyn. She was a loving and caring mother, wife and friend. She enriched the lives of everyone who knew her with her overwhelming kindness and love for God. She will be terribly missed, loved always and never forgotten. A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, February 10th, at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 2495 Cabrillo Avenue, Santa Clara, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations are made to the American Cancer Society.
