Services of remembrance will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002 in the Chapel of the Garden at Rice Funeral Service. Burial follows at Chouteau Cemetery. Friends may visit from noon until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Born on July 27, 1910 in Baxter Springs, Kan., she was the youngest of William and Capitola Smith Livingston's eight children. When she was 9 years old, she moved with her family to Adair. She grew up and attended school in the Adair community. It was in Adair that she met Tracy E. Jones. The two married on Aug. 21, 1925 in Grove. They later moved to Pryor. She was the mother of three children and raised her family in Pryor and Claremore. Myrtle loved and sacrificed for her family. She was generous and cared for her elderly neighbors as well, constantly baking, sharing goodies with them and helping them. Myrtle had a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor. She loved to dance and when a good song came on the radio, she would whisk the closest grandchild into her arms and dance away. She was one of the first residents of the senior housing complex on Stuart Roosa, living there for 20 years. Myrtle is now reunited with those who preceded her in death, her husband of 50 years, Tracy Jones; her son, Ronnie Jones; grandson, Joe Tracy Bowers; her parents and all her brothers and sister. Myrtle is survived by daughter, Beverly Smith and husband, Earl, daughter, Tracia Bowers and husband, Frank, all of Claremore; five grandchildren, Ron L.
