Keeling H.P. Keeling, 80, former Claremore resident, died Friday, June 21, 2002 in Norman. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 24 at Goodrich Memorial United Methodist Church in Norman with Rev. Marvin Hudson officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman. Keeling was born Dec. 7, 1921 in Butterfield, Mo., to Wid S. and Mildred Frye Keeling. He graduated from Midway High School in Newtonia, Mo. H.P. was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy. He married Violet Gold on July 14, 1946 in Neosho, Mo. In 1981 he retired as a service technician for Oklahoma Natural Gas in Claremore. The couple moved to Norman in 1992 from Claremore. H.P. was a member of the Goodrich Memorial United Methodist Church in Norman. Keeling was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Keeling, and sister, Betty Jo Fletcher. Survivors include his wife, Violet of the home; daughter, Brenda Sue Keeling of Norman; brother, Kenneth Keeling and wife, Betty Jean of Fulton, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
