The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net ************************************************************************ Margaret Genevieve Kriz Margaret Genevieve Kriz was born on Dec. 12, 1914 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and passed away on May 14, 2002 at the home of her daughter, Sherie Felthous, following a long illness. A memorial service with Rev. Ray Crawford of Claremore First United Methodist Church will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2002 in the Chapel of the Garden at Rice Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit the funeral home from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday. Margaret was the loving mother of Sheryll "Sherie" Felthous and came from Cedar Rapids, Iowa to live with her daughter on April 1, 2001. She attended First United Methodist Church and also Rogers County Adult Day Care. Margaret was married to Emil Kriz in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in January of 1939. Their first daughter, Sheryll, was born on Aug. 12, 1941 and their second daughter, Linda, on May 9, 1944. Margaret is survived by four loving grandchildren, John Felthous of Columbus, Ohio, Christine McEvoy and husband Andrew of Melbourne, Australia, Laura Grinnell and husband Jason of San Francisco, and Christopher Felthous of Tulsa. Her husband Emil passed away in October of 1986 and daughter Linda passed away in January of 1989. Margaret also was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, James Leehman and George Leehman. Margaret was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids for 61 years and joined the Chancel Choir 60 years ago. She also was an Avon representative for 50 years before retiring in December of 2000. Those who wish to honor Margaret's memory may do so by contributing to Trinity Hospice, 618 W.
