The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WAHLEA MOLLIE MASSEY OCNS - May 18, 2002 - Wahlea Mollie Massey, 76, was born November 9, 1925 in Claremore, Oklahoma to James F. & Rosa Lee Thompson Massey and passed away Thursday, May 16, 2002. One of nine children, Wahlea was reared and educated in Claremore and her first employment was at the Mason Caf‚ where she worked as a young woman. She married and daughter, Betty was born. Wahlea moved to Sparks, Nevada for a year and then on to Susanville, California for a time. This, Susanville, is where Betty grew up and received her education. Wahlea next lived in Oxnard, California for several years before returning in the 1980s to Claremore which continued to be her home since that time. Wahlea is survived by her daughter, Betty Anderson and her husband, Raymond of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; grandchildren, Deadra Leah Anderson and Cecil Ray Anderson, also of Cedar Rapids and Anna Marie Lemke and her husband, Paul, of Ely, Iowa; four great grandchildren, Kristian Ray Anderson, Lukas John Anderson and Bailee Elizabeth Anderson, all of Cedar Rapids and Jacob Donald Lemke of Ely; a sister, Mary Jo Massey and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Nathen and Loyd Massey; and sisters, Orvilla Davis, Leona Seals, Rachel Chambers, Elva Gann and Florence Aguirre. Services will be at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, May 18, in the Chapel of The Garden at Rice Funeral Service, Claremore, Oklahoma. Private interment will take place next week in Woodlawn Cemetery, Claremore.
