Pastor Jim Noe officiated and burial followed in the Oaks Cemetery in Oaks. Maxine passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2003 in Catoosa. She was 85. Mrs. Noe was born to John and Dora Mae (Mitchell) Wolfe on Nov. 8, 1917 in Adair. She grew up and attended school at Oaks Mission School. She married Joe Lee Noe on Sept. 9, 1935 in Oaks. She lived most of her life in the Twin Oaks area. She loved to sew, crochet, quilt and raise her flower garden. She was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include her sons, Joe and wife, Barbara Noe of Wagoner, Carl and wife, Sue Noe of Oklahoma City, Tom and wife, Lola Noe of Sapulpa and Walter Noe of Tiawah; daughters, Kathryn and husband, Chris Pedersen of Claremore and Carol and husband, Gary Powers of Tulsa; sisters, Hattie Adams, Anna Pierce and Dolly Lampkins, all of Tulsa; and numerous grand- children and great-grandchildren.
