He was 55. Born Aug. 30, 1946 in Richardson, Texas, John has lived in the Antlers area since 1995, moving there from Wylie, Texas. He was a member of the Darwin Baptist Church of Antlers. John enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He loved being outdoors and working with animals. John is preceded in death by his parents, John B. and Hazel Roberts, and a grandson, Talce Rosenthal. He is survived by his wife Linda Roberts of the home; sons, John "Brad" Bradley and wife Melissa Roberts of Valencia, Calif. and Mark Allen Roberts of Trenton, Texas; daughter, Stephanie Roberts of Ft. Towson, Okla.; and sisters, Eva Ledbetter of Cleveland, Okla. and Barbara Pepper of Claremore. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at Darwin Baptist Church with Rev. David Boutwell and Rev. Otis Gains officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Cole, Danny Harper, Danny Hancock, Aaron Hancock, Steven Sharp and Roy Lodlow. Honorary pallbearers are George Phillips, Marty Cole and Jacob Brueno. Burial will be in the Darwin Cemetery.
