Rev. Devin Rohr will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Rice Funeral Service. Friends may visit at the funeral home until 8 p.m. Thursday. Marylin passed away on Tuesday, June 4 at her home. She was 69. Born in Colby, Kan., on Aug. 29, 1932, Marylin left her birthplace at a young age and was reared and educated briefly in Colorado before moving to Muskogee where she graduated from Muskogee High School at the age of 15. She was bright and a quick learner, attributes which made her a valuable employee, first at the local drug store, a time at Southwestern Bell, then Tulsa Public Schools in the cafeteria, Claremore Electric and then back to SW Bell for six years before her retirement in 1989. After about a year with the phone company in Muskogee, Marylin was transferred to Tulsa. This move and the company bowling league set the stage for her meeting with Robert C. St. Pierre. On Feb. 8, 1958, the couple was married in Mississippi. They made their first home in Tulsa and when her mother passed away shortly after their marriage, Marylin and Bob took several of her younger siblings into their home. She quickly learned the homemaking and nurturing skills required to create a loving, happy home. She and Bob were blessed with four children of their own. In 1975, the couple moved to Claremore and built a new home. She and Bob both retired from SW Bell, and Marylin, the ultimate "Memaw" for her grandchildren, was able to enjoy her unique and delightful young treasures. These fortunate children had a grandmother who just happened to love doing exactly what they wanted to do. School shopping trips, carving pumpkins or making their own pie crusts are especially precious memories. Marylin is survived by her husband, Bob of their home in Claremore; children, Jimmie St. Pierre of Inola, Tommie St. Pierre and wife Regina of Claremore, Robbie Weintraub and husband David of Owasso, and Linda Nunn and husband Steve of Claremore; grandchildren, Amanda, James, Rocque, Matt, John, Robert, Amy, Julie, Lyndsay, Meredith and Katie; great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Stormie and Chloe; and siblings, Avis Bates, Fay Richardson, Lulu Tracy, Dick Tracy, Tom Tracy, Doris Bolding, Karen Smith, Harry Tracy, Bobbie Sue Savage, Helen Jo Waller, Jackie Elzo and Danny Tracy. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Lockler. Memorial gifts in Marylin's honor may be made to Hospice of Green Country, 1005 W. Archer, Claremore, OK 74017. ************************************************************************* We thank the Claremore Progess Newspaper for allowing us to post these obits on the Rogers Co., OK USGenwebpages http://www.claremoreprogress.com/ *************************************************************************
