Paul Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 1 and 8- 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Rice Funeral Service. June passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at the age of 78. She was born in Wynona, Okla. to James and Cora Marchant Bradfield on Sept. 19, 1923. The Bradfield family and infant June moved to Fort Gibson, where they resided until she was seven, at which time they relocated to the Claremore area. She attended Verdigris and Claremore schools, completing her education prior to moving to Tulsa. In 1958, June moved to Topeka, Kan. where she met Chester A. Standley. On Dec. 27, 1960, June and Chester were married in Independence, Kan. where her parents had married. June was employed as a cashier at Frouges, Crown Drugstore and Walgreens. In 1988, they moved to Tulsa and in October of that year, Chester passed away. Shortly thereafter, June moved to Claremore. She was very active in her church, teaching the two and three-year-old Sunday School class at Memorial Heights. June truly waited upon the Lord. She is survived by her stepchildren, Kay McNorton of Meridan, Kan., Alan Standley Jr. of Ontario, Calif., and Marguerite Laingren of Ontonagon, Mich.; one brother, James Bradfield of Claremore; her nieces and nephews and step- grandchildren.
