All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::J E Foust & Son FH--Grapevine TX Smith, Leo Rex 1957 - 2004 Leo Rex Smith, 47, an engineer, passed away of natural causes Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, in Bedford. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Thursday at J.E. Foust and Son Memorial Chapel in Grapevine. He was born Aug. 5, 1957, in Thermopolis, Wyo., to Robert and Joyce Smith. His 9-year-old daughter, Carly of Bedford, was the apple of his eye and the light of his life. His greatest joy in life was spending time with Carly. Every opportunity he had was spent nurturing and loving her. Leo enjoyed having fun with friends in socializing and golfing, and always provided laughter to those around him. He had many friends in the Bedford area and with his many skills, he was always quick to help others in need. Leo graduated from high school in Inola, Okla., in 1975. He received a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Tulsa, and an M.S. degree in environmental engineering from SMU in Dallas. Leo knew Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and attended First Baptist Church in Colleyville. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Smith. Survivors: Daughter, Carly and her mother, Mendy Bell, of Bedford; father, Robert Smith of Powell, Wyo.; brother, Len Smith and wife, LaNeta, of Chandler, Ariz.; sister, Martha Schroeder and husband, Eric, of Powell, Wyo.; fiance, Tena Murphy; and several nephews and nieces.
