"Jack" Tuggle Services for Richard F. "Jack" Tuggle Sr. were 11 a.m. Monday, April 22 at Claremore Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Washington Cemetery. Jack passed away Thursday, April 18, 2002 in Tulsa. He was 69. Jack was born June 8, 1932 in Nowata to Willie Columbus and Flora Mae (Ellis) Tuggle. On May 31, 1953 Richard married Betty Kennan in Claremore. Jack was a heavy equipment operator for the City of Claremore. Prior to that, he had been self-employed from 1950 to 1980. Jack was a member of the Odd Fellows Club and the American Legion. He enjoyed raising cattle and horses. Jack was preceded in death by his sister, Zella Steinhock. He is survived by his wife, Betty Tuggle; mother, Flora Tuggle of Tulsa; children, Russell Wayne Tuggle and Richard F. Tuggle Jr., both of Claremore; siblings, Junior Tuggle of Texhoma, Gene Tuggle, Glatha Codrey, Annetta Thresher, Cora McClendon, Carolyn Teague and Willa Snaggs, all of Tulsa, Jerry Tuggle of Kellyville, Joe Fargo of Sallisaw and Ora Hutson of Wyandotte; grandchildren, Brandi Jackson of Osage Beach, Mo., Jennifer Bickford of Claremore, and Heather and Dusty Tuggle, both of Mustang; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Corbin, and Kristin Bickford, all of Claremore and Noah Jackson of Osage Beach, Mo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
