She was president of the North Kansas City Professional Business Women's Association, co-owner and operator of the Riverside Motel, an active member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and a member of the Italian Women's Club of KCMO. During her retirement years, Josephine made her home in Claremore to be near her children. While here, she was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church. Josephine spoke Italian fluently and cooked both traditional and ethnic foods, specializing in Italian pastries. Sunday dinners were a time for the Tripp family to gather, enjoying each other's company and delicious Italian cuisine. Josephine and Charles were able to take numerous trips together. For someone who loved to travel, these times were a special treasure. Her family said, Our hopes are, she will travel through eternity with her husband Charles, they will enjoy her cooking and we know their love will last forever.
