Joe was born in Hartshorne, Okla., on Aug. 5, 1921. He loved his country and proudly served in the military during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Wieneke of Claremore; son, Charles Sheets of Claremore; daughters, Mary Tiefel and husband, Jim of Tampere, Finland and Jo Ellen Reagan and husband, Jim of Edmond; three grandchildren, Mary Karel Tiefel of Norman, Jimmy Kay Tiefel of Campbellsville, Ky., and James Matthew Reagan of Edmond; and two sisters, Rhoda Ann Browder and Jean Hollingsworth, both of Denton, Texas. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002 at Resthaven Cemetery in Oklahoma City. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Rice Funeral Service.
