Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of the Inola Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday 1-8 p.m. Lahoma died Sunday at Hillcrest Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 86. The daughter of Thomas Jackson and Fanny Susie Fleming Ludlow was born March 30, 1916 in Inola. She graduated from Inola High School in 1934 and married Omer Franklin Warden on Dec. 18, 1935, in Claremore. Lahoma was a homemaker and collected Indian dolls. In addition to her family, Lahoma loved the outdoors and animals. She enjoyed being on the farm, chasing cows and feeding the chickens. Because of the times, she always raised a huge garden, canning and, in later years, freezing most of their food. Anytime a visitor came to her home to visit or for a reunion, she always made sure they were well fed. She and Omer raised their family on a farm south of Inola until moving to the Sequoyah area for 28 years. In 1993, they returned to their present home in Inola, where she enjoyed being able to visit with her old friends. She enjoyed all the modern conveniences of her new home that she hadn't had the privilege of having before. In the past few years, because of her health, she had not been able to be outdoors as much as she liked and truly missed her animals. She substituted them with search and find word puzzles. She helped Omer after his health began to deteriorate. Not being an idle person, each day was fully packed with the things she enjoyed. Being a head-strong independent woman, you always knew where you stood with her. But on the other hand, she was a very loving and compassionate mother and grandmother to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always was concerned with her family's health and everyday problems and needs, willing to help out in anyway possible. She was a very loving and caring person and will be missed by everyone who knew her. Lahoma is survived by her husband, Omer of the home; children: Harry T. Warden and wife, Sharon of Inola, Steven A. Warden of Tulsa, Margaret Ford and husband, Elvin of Clovis, N.M., Oma Wilson and husband, Jerry of Inola, Betty Hazelwood and husband, Herb of Claremore, and Rhonda Gulisao and husband, Joe of Claremore; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; children: Virginia Lee and Jerry Lynn Warden; granddaughter, Shirley Marlene Ford; and siblings: Elmer Ludlow, Odie Ludlow, Dal Ludlow, Clara Green, Ida Crane and May Campbell ************************************************************************* Transcribed from the Claremore Progess Newspaper, we sincerely thank them for allowing us to post these obits on the Rogers Co., OK USGenwebpages http://www.claremoreprogress.com/ *************************************************************************
