WHISENHUNT - Cherry K. (Jerry), was born on March 7, 1923 in Oologah, 
OK and died on October 19, 2007. He was preceded in death by: his 
parents, Jack and Opal Whisenhunt and a granddaughter, Joanna Elaine 
Whisenhunt. Survived by: wife of 61 years, Katie; 3 children, Charles 
(Shiela), Clint (Rebecca) all of Tulsa and Catherine (Michael) Yox of 
Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Jennifer White (Adam), of Kansas City, 
Sandy Ilfrey (Wayne) of Houston, TX, Max Whisenhunt (Lenka) of 
Houston, Kathryn Whisenhunt, student at Darmouth College in Hanover, 
NH. There are 4 great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Annabelle White, 
Jackson and Magdalena Whisenhunt. He was a member of the Cherokee 
Tribe and also a life long member of the Methodist church. He was a 
World War II veteran and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Viewing 
will be at Fitzgerald's Southwood Colonial in Tulsa on Sunday, 
October 21. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, October 22 at 
Christ United Methodist Church. Family burial will be at Floral 
Haven. Donations in lieu of flowers to the American Heart 
Association. Fitzgerald Southwood. 291-3500
