Origianlly only a two-room log building, later made into a four room cement block facility, Carr School grew with the community, eventually emerging as a modern brick school, complete with a gymnasium, shop and homemaking class space. The last graduating class was in 1943, when it was decided there were not enough students to justify the seperate school system and it was consolidated with two other schools. Of the nine members of the school's first graduating class in 1933, seven were able to attend the reunion along with their teacher and sponsor, Walter Fields of Seminole. A covered dish luncheon was enjoyed during the noon hour and gifts were presented to F.C. Clark of Seminole who was the oldest present; and Pat Wilbanks, who came the longest distance- Clovis, Calif. The next reunion of the school will be held Sept. 14, 1986, at the Community Center, it was announced. Marie Young of Seminole and Orlena Chilcote of Ardmore will be in charge of arrangements.
