Jackson Raymond SEMINOLE - Rev. Jackson Edmond DEERE was born February 19, 1917, in Seminole. He died February 1, 2001, at his home in Tulsa. Funeral services were held February 3 at Hitchita Methodist Church. His grandsons served as pallbearers. No information was given on the place of interment. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Airborne and served in WW II in Greenland. He had served as a Methodist minister and pastored at Yeager Circuit, Coska Circuit, and Grant Chapel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Nicy DEERE; three sisters, Annie PRUITT, Cindy HARJO and Lizzie HARJO; and three brothers, Sammie DEERE, Jesse DEERE, and George DEERE. He was survived by his wife, Beatrice DEERE of the home; his daughter, Brenda HOWELL of Glenpool; his sons, Richard BARNETT of Tulsa, Ben CONARD of Tulsa, Marty CONARD, Daniel WIND, and Richard BARNETT, Jr.; one brother, Buster DEERE of Seminole; 18 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren.
