He joined the Fresno Bee in 1956, where he was a printer until his retirement in January of 1983. Ralph entered the U.S. Army in 1942, and served his country in WWII. He saw action in North Africa, Sicily, Normandy, and Central Europe. Ralph will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grand- father, great-grandfather, and friend to many. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Reba; son, Ron Parrott and his wife, Pamela; grandchild Jennifer Gatley and her husband, Michael; great-grandchildren Jacob, Hanna and Ethan Gatley; brother Arnold Parrott, and sister Dessie Jennings. Graveside services were held at the Clovis District Cemetery on Friday, March 1. The family asked everyone to wear a smile and bring a story to share in celebration of Ralph's life.
