Elgie Eugene Yarbrough died  at his home in Muskogee, Oklahoma,  August 14,
1999 at 6:30a.m. at the age of  81 years 9 months and 14 days.  He was born
October 30, 1917 in  Tate, Seminole County, Oklahoma to Eddie Eugene & Dovie
Pearl Lindley Yarbrough.

He served in World War II and had the rank of Corporal when he was discharged
in 1946. He retired from Fluor Construction in 1977,  where he worked for
several years as a Pipe Superintendent. He was a long time member of the
Plumbers & Pipefitters Union Local #351 in Muskogee. He loved Fishing,
Hunting and raising different kinds of animals. He was a kind and loving
person to his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Opal Yarbrough of the home, three
sons:  Gene Yarbrough & wife Joann,  Glenn Yarbrough & wife Margaret, all of 
Muskogee, Ok. & Jerry Yarbrough & wife Peggy of Wagoner, Ok.  Eight
grandchildren: Larry Yarbrough of Muskogee, Ok., Linda Yarbrough of
Tahlequah, Ok., Debbie Rooks  Muskogee, Ok,  Ginny Bemo of Ft. Gibson, Ok.,
David Yarbrough of Muskogee, Ok. Susie Standridge of  Oktaha, Ok.,  Gary
Yarbrough  & Jeff Yarbrough of Wagoner, Ok.
and 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceeded in death by his parents Eddie Eugene & Dovie Pearl Lindley
Yarbrough, 4 brothers, one sister, and a twin sister.

Services will be held  at 10:00 a.m. August 17, 1999 at the Bradley Belltower
Chapel at Bradley Funeral Home in Muskogee, Ok. with  Pastor Mark Hester
officiating. 
Music will include :  "Precious Memories" and  "How Great Thou Art"  A
graveside service will also be held at Tate Mountain Cemetery.

Interment will be in Tate Mountain Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma under the
direction of Bradley Funeral Home of Muskogee, Ok.

Pallbearers are:
Jack Whitten, Mark Whitten, Robert Felts, Mark Brownell, Elmer Perry &
Clifton
Walker.

Honorary Pallbearers:
L.M. Barkhimer, Arthur Tillman, Gene Doughty, Bobby Jenkins

EDDIE EUGENE YARBROUGH...Ed Yarbrough, 86, died Tuesday, October 30, in
Wewoka Nursing Home. He was born June 23, 1887, in Hardin County, Tennessee,
and was a retired oil field worker and maintenance painter.

He is survived by his wife Dovie Pearl Lindley Yarbrough, of the home, 318
west 19th., Wewoka: four sons, Ollie Yarbrough of Fall River Mills,
California, Elgie Yarbrough of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Orbin Yarbrough of Napa,
California, Delbert Yarbrough, also of Napa, California; 12 grandchildren,
and 21 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday, November 1, at 2p.m. in the Church of Christ, John
Stewart, minister.

Burial will be in Tate Cemetery, with Stout-Sarber Funeral Home in charge.

DOVIE PEARL LINDLEY YARBROUGH...Services are pending for Dovie Pearl
Yarbrough, 86 who died July 8, 1978 in Wewoka Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Yarbrough was born January 26, 1892 in Texas. She lived in and around
Wewoka for the past 55 years.

She married Eddie Eugene Yarbrough September 29, 1909. He preceded her in
death on October 30, 1973.

Survivors include three sons, Elgie Yarbrough, Muskogee; Orbin Yarbrough,
Kelleyville, Oklahoma; Delbert Yarbrough, Yountville, California; two
sisters, Cora Carmichael, Wewoka; Dolly Brown, Wewoka; 12 grandchildren, 24
great-grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and
nephews

Services are pending for Tuesday at the Church of Christ in Wewoka.

JOHN THOMAS YARBROUGH...Graveside services were held March 29, 1940 at
2:00p.m. for John Thomas (J.T.) Yarbrough. He was 84 years old. He died
Thursday night, March 28, 1940,  at the home of a son near Holdenville, Ok.
John Thomas Yarbrough was born August 7, 1855 in Coosa County, Alabama to
William & Sarah Jane Kelley Yarbrough.  He married Georgia Ann Lindsey May
30, 1874. Georgia Ann died November 17, 1894. He married Erminnie Belle Lokey
on Feb. 1, 1903.

Survivors include six sons, John of New Mexico, C.G. of Weleetka, Ok., Ed of
Holdenville, Ok. Millard of Boswell, Ok., Ode of Schulter, & Clifford
Yarbrough; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Dosha Haxton of Enid, Mrs. Myrtle
Harper of Childress, TX. &  Maude Ann Shepherd

Burial was in Tate Mountain Cemetery under the direction of the Buchanan
Funeral Home.

ODIS THOMAS YARBROUGH...    Odis (Ode) Thomas Yarbrough, 52 year old Schulter
WPA truck driver, died July 9, 1940 in Henryetta, Ok.  hospital of gunshot
wounds sustained Sunday morning during an altercation at his home following
an argument with a neighbor over a set of auto keys.

He married Hanna Elizabeth Baldwin February 12, 1910

Funeral services were conducted at the Tate Mountain Cemetery in Wewoka, Ok
at 2:00p.m. under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home.

He is survived by two sons, Carl Yarbrough of Burbank, California and Orville
Yarbrough of Dover, Ok.; One daughter, Eva Yarbrough of St. Johns, Arizona.
