Read Moore of Wewoka, OK and E. Hastain of Muskogee, OK probably after 1906 (the Tulso Library estimates the publication date as 1915, but the latest date n the book is 1905. The book has 4 different lists of names each roughly in alpha- betical order. I have transcribed the lists exactly as they appear in the book and have not re-alphabetized them. The first lists everyone who was on the roll in 1898. The second list is of "New Born Seminoles" born between 1898 and 1906. The third list is of "New Born Freedman" and is similar to the second list. The fourth list is called "Footnotes" and there is no further explanation in the book on what constitutes a "Footnote". I would guess that the parcels of land they owned were too small to appear on the accompanying plat maps. The plat maps cannot be read using the highest magnification lens at UCLA (50X) , and the prints are mostly unreadable, too. The original book is in the University of Tulsa Law School Library. Explanation of the first list follows: This is the explanation of the first list, it includes everyone who was on the roll in 1898. Number=the roll number (allotment number) Seminoles by Blood are numbered 1 to 1899 Freedmen are numbered 1900 to 2757 When an allottee had land on more than one map page, it is noted. x=allotee died after allotment y=allotee died before allotment Nothing in column=allottee still alive at time book was published.
