Anderson, Larry V.

Visitation for Larry V. Anderson will be held at Basham Funeral Care 
(3312 Niles Street) on Thursday, May 24, 2007 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. 
Funeral services will be held at Hillcrest Seventh-day Adventist 
Church (2600 Kenwood Road) on Friday morning, May 25, 2007 at 10:00 
a.m. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Larry was born 
February 9, 1926 and he passed away May 18, 2007. He is survived by 
his wife, Autry Anderson; son and daughter-in-law, David and Carolyn 
Anderson; son and daughter- in-law, Larry and Tammy Anderson Jr.; 
son, Gary Anderson; son, Mark Anderson; son and daughter-in-law, Tim 
and Scherry Edwards; daughter, Sally Phillips; daughter, Tina Lee; 
daughter, Sandra Smith; numerous grandchildren and great-
grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law, 
Bobby and Joyce Anderson, Leroy and Mary Anderson, Bruce and Sherry 
Anderson and Donald Ray and Linda Anderson. Larry came from Vian, 
Oklahoma. He was one of a large family and he had to lie about his 
age to get a drivers license in order to drive them all to 
California. He worked in Lamont as a mechanic for Bill Mooney and 
later he moved to Bakersfield where he owned and operated The 
Blackboard and The Circle Club. He worked hard all his life. He was a 
great husband, father and grandfather (Papa) and we are very proud of 
who he was. We loved him very much. His big, generous heart was what 
drew people to him. For additional service or floral delivery
