Bean John Leonard Bean, 80, of Yuba City died May 12, 2007, at Rideout Memorial Hospital. Born in Long, Okla., he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 58 years. Retired, he worked as a truck driver and a welder. He was a member of the Calvary Christian Center Assembly of God Church. Also, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Betty Bean of Yuba City; two sons, Jimmie Bean and Guy Bean, both of Yuba City; three brothers, D.W. Callison of Yuba City, Bill Bean of Marysville and Kenneth Callison of Oklahoma; a sister, Julie Robinson of Washington; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby Callison, Jim Callison and Jackie Callison. Donations may be made to the Calvary Christian Center Assembly of God Church Library, 2620 Colusa Highway, Yuba City, CA 95993. Services: A service is at 2 p.m. Friday, preceded visitation at 1 p.m., at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond St., Yuba City. Pastors Doug Carroccio and Michael Ciociola will officiate.
