Cagle, 82, of Meridian, died Monday, April 16, 2007 at his home. Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at the Meridian Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian. Delmer was born June 7, 1924 to S.T. Cagle and Sadie Barnes Cagle of Liberty, Okla. Delmer was the sixth of eighth children, who were raised and educated in Oklahoma. The family moved to Idaho shortly after the death of his mother. At age 17, Delmer was drafted to the Army and served three years in the Pacific during World War II. After his service he returned to Idaho where he married Mary Summers in 1946. Delmer and Mary had two girls, Sharon and Jackie. Delmer worked as a car salesman in Meridian for many years. Delmer enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with family. Delmer is survived by his children Sharon and Lavon Cecil and Jackie DŽAndrea of Boise as well as his sister Bessie Burgess of Oklahoma. Three grandchildren Jeff and Sherri Cecil of Boise, Joe Cecil of Boise and Summer and Paul Sweeney of Guam. Delmer is also survived by four great-grand children Nick and Jake of Boise and Zach and Ben of Guam. Delmer is preceded in death by five brothers, one sister and wife of 57 years Mary E. Cagle.
