DEEN Bill Deen was born on September 9, 1932, in Gore, Oklahoma. He left our world, but not our hearts, on Thursday, March 8, 2007, in Fresno, California where he lived most of his adult life. He was a meat cutter for more than 30 years. Due to medical reasons, he retired in 1987. Bill and his wife managed a mobile home park for 12 years in Merced, California. They retired in 2002 and returned to Fresno to be near family. Bill is waiting for his wife Armenta. They were married more than fifty years. A son Anthony preceded him in death in 1991; and a brother, Charlie Deen. Bill is survived by his daughter, Karla Torres of Fresno; three sons, Bill R. and Jeffery of Fresno and Gary of Pacheco, California; 18 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Survivors also include sisters, Irene Mannon of Gore, Oklahoma and Jean Mannon and her husband George of Fresno; brother, J.L. Deen of Oregon; and in-laws, Raymond and Margaret Martin of Fairfield, Oregon, Alden Martin of Kerman and Ida Lee of Exeter. He has many nieces and nephews who loved and respected their uncle Bill. He will be missed by a host of relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Palm Memorial Kerman Chapel on Thursday, March 15, 2007, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at West McKinley Church of Christ, 5826 West McKinley, on Friday, March 16, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest in Golden Sunset Memorial Park in Kerman.
