All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Bakersfield Californian Millie M Fannon Sept. 5, 1923-June 1, 2003 Chapel services will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at 10 am at Westside Family Mortuary for Bakersfield resident, Millie Marie Fannon. Millie was born on September 5, 1923 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Jonathan and Ida Fannon and she passed away on June 11, 2003 in Bakersfield, California at the age of 79. She loved the outdoors and working with her hands. She loved to make crafts to give to her friends and making flower arrangements. She always made people feel right at home with her beautiful smile and laugh. She loved to spend time with the elderly and with children, they made her smile. She was a very gentle and loving lady and is referred to as The best cook in the world. She is survived by the love of her life, Joe Reed of Arvin; her daughter, Glenda Moslander of Bakersfield; son, Bobby Henry of Arkansas; grandsons, Iain MacGriogair of Bakersifeld, Robert Henry of Mississippi and Austin Henry of Arkansas; sisters, Gladys Reed of Taft, Essie Burke of Taft and Mary Reddy of Taft and by 4 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her baby son, Billy Joe Henry in 1943; great-granddaughter, Claudia Savanna Henry in 1997; her parents, John and Ida Fannon and by 7 siblings. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Millies Optimal Hospice nurses, and to Suzanne Drew, who treated Millie like her own mother. Millie was a very special lady and will be sorely missed by all who were blessed enough to have known her. A public viewing will be held on Monday, June 16 from 12-5 p.m. at West Side Family Mortuary.
