Jackson March 14, 1927 — July 14, 2006 Francis Jewel Jackson, 79, of Modesto died Friday at Alexander Cohen Hospice House, Hughson. Mr. Jackson was born in Sallisaw, Okla., and lived in Modesto since 1943. He was a cement mason for 30years for George Reed Inc. He was a member of Church of Christ, Ceres. He served in the Army for two years. He is survived by his children, Frank Jackson and Shirley Turner, both of Modesto; brothers, Donald Jackson, Edward Jackson, Keith Jackson and Bill Jackson, all of Oklahoma; sisters, Juanita Bryant and Thelma Curry, both of Oklahoma, and Betty Walt of Arizona; and three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Clara Jackson; three brothers; and one sister. Visitation at noon Thursday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, with a funeral there at 3 p.m. Burial at Acacia Memorial Park.
