Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Gruver Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Curry officiating. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mrs. Mayberry was born in Sallisaw, Okla., and moved to Gruver in 1992 from Broaddus. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Gruver and worked as a house mover until her retirement in 1987. She married Carl Jefferson Mayberry in 1976 at Borger. He died in 1992. Survivors include five sons, Bobby Capps of Cushing, Okla., Jimmie Capps of Oklahoma City, Donnie Capps of Vian, Okla., William McDowell of Amarillo and Rodney McDowell of Gruver; two daughters, Norma Hefner of Borger and Sue Campbell of Sanford; two stepdaughters, Annette Hunter of Fletcher, Okla., and Jowannah Shackleford of Pampa; a brother, R.B. Sizemore of Tranquility, Calif.; four sisters, Beulah Champion of Tranquility, Jewell Curtis of Lodi, Calif., Nadine Johnson of Okemah, Okla., and Pauline Bene of San Joaquin, Calif.; 37 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren.
