Mattox Dec. 4, 1923 — July 26, 2006 Mose Edward Mattox, 82, of Keyes died Wednesday at his home. Mr. Mattox was a native of Sallisaw, Okla. He lived in Keyes 60 years. He was a warehouse foreman. He served in the Army from 1943- 46. He was a member of Keyes Assembly of God Church, and over the years had served as superintendent, trustee, deacon, secretary and treasurer. He enjoyed playing his guitar at church, fishing, hunting, camping, golfing and travel. He is survived by his son, Robert Mattox of Joplin, Mo., James Mattox and Marilyn Rogers, both of Modesto, Randy Mattox of Keyes and Barbara Davis of Seneca, Mo.; brothers, Macdonald Mattox of Alvin, Texas, and Paul Mattox of Gore, Okla.; sister, Wenonia Reyes of Gore, Okla.; and 15 grandchildren and 26great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Mattox; and two grandchildren. Visitation from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Allen Mortuary. A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Keyes Assembly of God Church, with burial at Ceres Memorial Park.
