All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Green Lawn Southwest Memorial Park Cemetery--Bakersfield CA Mildred Louise Shackelford 1924 - 2005 Mildred Louise Shackelford Oct. 2, 1924 Dec. 6, 2005 Born Oct. 2, 1924 in Gans Oklahoma to Charles Clark Hastings and Anna Martha Garman. Mildred moved to Delhi, California in 1945 where she married Dale Leon Shackelford. Dale and Mildred had five children, all born in Turlock California. Mildred was a loved mother and housewife for her entire marriage to Dale for 56 years who preceded her in death in 2001. Dale and Mildred lived in Stanislaus, Merced Counties and moved to Bakersfield in 1973. Mildred lived for the past 4 years at Castlewood where she enjoyed visiting with her friends, playing bingo, dominos, and working on her crafts. She is survived by her children Lorinda Gayle Shackelford, Howard Tony Shackelford, and wife Joan, Marcia Stepp & Husband Rick, Marian Meighan & Husband Sky, David Shackelford and Wife Andrea, 11 grandchildren Shawn, Shannon, Sara, Joel, Junior, Richard, Diana, Laura, Rachel, Amber and Alex, 6 great-grandchildren. She went to be with the Lord on December 6, 2005, and will be greatly missed. We take comfort knowing that she will be spending her first Christmas in Heaven. Memorial service Monday, Dec. 12 at 10:00 A.M. Castlewood, 2221 S. Real Rd., Graveside service will follow 1:00 P.M. Greenlawn, Panama Lane.
