A total of $840,000 still was owed. 25 Years Ago: Smiles of pride showed on the faces of Marlow Chamber of Commerce officers Mike Rogers, president, and Russell Stone, vice president, as they look at the new City of Marlow street map and service directory with Chamber secretary Alice Underwood. The maps were delivered from the printers and were available from more than 40 advertisers and at the Chamber of Commerce office. 10 Years Ago: Kaitlyn Mirth, 4, waved from her wooden horse as she, her sister Alysen, 2, and their dad, Brad Mirth, rode the carousel ad Kiddie Land Park. Five Years Ago: Duncan firefighters and EMTs worked to free Lawton minister Jerry Folson from his wrecked vehicle. The food he was carrying to Falls Creek Baptist Camp lied scattered along the road. Folson’s vehicle and another car were involved in a wreck at Oklahoma 7 and Eastland. He was taken to Duncan Regional Hospital where he was treated and released. One Year Ago: Pete the Bearded Dragon visited children at the Duncan Public Library as part of the Oklahoma City Zoo Mobile’s “Critter Tales” program geared at kindergarten and prekindergarten aged children. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Stephens County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/stephens/stephens.htm
