Jim Bullard of Duncan reported. 25 Years Ago: Angel, an 8-year-old German Shepherd belonging to Mr. and Mrs. John Davis, never learned that a mailman's worst enemy can be the dogs along his route. For years Angel has waited patiently for postman Ronald D. Fears to come by - so she can travel the mailman's 12-mile route with him. 10 Years Ago: State Sen. Larry Lawler handed Duncan City Manager Doug O'Johnson checks totaling $48,053, representing state and federal aid for 1990 flood damage repairs. Five Years Ago: More than 900 Christian men met at the Duncan High School Auditorium in an effort to break ethnic and denominational barriers between Christians and to give something back to the community.
