Ellises Is Celebrated : Mr. and Mrs. Walter M. Ellis, 1407 Maple, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, when Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Ellis and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ellis, Great Bend, Kan., held open house in the home of the former at 1408 Pine. A large group of guest called from 2 until 6 o'clock. Charlie and Roy Ellis are sons of Mr. and Mrs. Wlater M. Ellis. The guests were received in the living room and registered in a gold bound guest book. The fireplace mantle was decorated with yellow gladioli and jonquils and lighted with gold tapers. Refreshments were served from the dining room table covered with a white cloth draped with a garland of greenry caught at intervals with a cluster of white Chrysanthemums. Individual cakes marked with gold letters was served with coffe. Assisting in the dining room were Mrs. Ted Gilbert, Mrs. Marshall Walters, and Mrs Emma Faye Beauchamp. All wore colonial corsages. Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Patterson of Wichita falls, TX, Jack Stewart, Comanche; Mr. and Mrs. H.O. Clary and Mrs. G.A. Peer, all of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Lillie Boutwell, Electra, TX. ******** Other guests included the Messer and Mmes. O.H. Osborn, Gene Nelson, Joe Williams, Clark Edrington, O.C. Clough, Marshall Waters, Ted Gilbert, Kelly Little, Charles Schick, R.H. Roper, C.R. Cockerham, Ray Marion, Harry Harms, Eric R. Murray, O.L. Morrisett, W.F. Stewart, I.W. Spaugh, J.H. Dolen, Amos Reed, Dan Thompson, F.E. Bradley, John Guest. And Mrs. Mary Jennings, Mrs. Clare Robinson, Mrs. Beauchamp, Steven Morrisett, Jack and Marie Mason, and Carolyn Hakala.
