Badly Burned Tuesday morning, MARY, the seven year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. G. PATTERSON, met with a painful accident, by falling into a tub of boiling hot clothes that had just been lifted from the boiler by her mother. Medical assistance was summoned… she was getting along nicely. Severely Hurt Thursday morning about 9:00, LAWRENCE, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. ED ALEXANDER, while assisting MR. COX of near Loco, to load a bale of barbed wire, was severely hurt by the wire falling on him. They had lifted the wire almost into the wagon when Mr. Cox let loose the tongs with which they handle barbed wire, to take hold of the framework around the barbed wire, thus letting the entire weight come down on the lad. DRS. LEWIS and DUNCAN were hastily summoned and dressed the wounds and anticipate no serious trouble. Reversing the Court Several decisions have just been received from the department of Interior and the attorney general by the Dawes commission that threatens to overturn at least 1/3 of the decisions in the citizenship cases that were rendered by the Choctaw and Chickasaw citizenship court… It is estimated by the Dawes Commission that fully one-third of the hundreds of applicants that were denied by the citizenship court will come in under these recent decisions… ¦ The little four year son of Mr. and Mrs. HENRY GADDY was quite severely hurt by the first of the week by a feed mill falling over on him. Dr. PRUITT was called and rendered surgical aid to alleviate his sufferings. I will sell on the streets of Comanche on Saturday, May 5th at 3:00, one white saddle pony, bridle and saddle to satisfy a mortgage held by the undersigned. E. J. EVERLEY. That Fatal Target Rifle At the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. M. BUTLER, little six year old FRANK MURRAY was accidentally killed by a target rifle. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. TOM MURRAY and a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. M. D. BUTLER. Dr. PRUITT reports the arrival of a fine girl at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. DEAN of near Cottonwood Monday night. MISS ELLA ROSE, one of the teachers in the public school, resigned. The only place in town where you can get a good hot meal or a cold drink, day or night, is at FOSTER's. ALEX T. HAMILTON of Oklahoma City spent a few days here. Beulah was all smiles. MISS LOTTIE QUACKENBUSH went to Comanche Friday. G. M. TUCKER went to Lawton Saturday. KRUMPTUNE is still able to carry his "big feet." SAM WILSON is still on the sick list. ALTON TUCKER has just recovered from a snake bite which occurred several weeks ago. MISS WILLIE JOHNSON reports quite a nice time at Diamond at the close of school. FRED TUCKER made a flying trip to Comanche Sunday. MISS LOTTIE QUACKENBUSH seemed to enjoy herself very much Friday at Oak College. Now, Lottie, if NATH, had happened in. MISS CECIL WILSON spent Sunday with MISS MASYON RAY. Little BIRGE HARTE is reported some better. MRS. IRWIN is very much grieved on the loss of 30 little chicks during the rain last Sunday. MRS. HATTIE HOPPER visited home folks Thursday. BERTA and WILL, don't be uneasy. HUGH and WILL made it home safe and sound Sunday night. MAYSON, don't be downhearted, it will not rain every Sunday. Raccoon Bend on Beaver Creek Rain, rain, rain. E. B FERGUSON has 300 acres, JOHN FERGUSON more than 100 acres, W. H. PHIPP 100 acres, F. M. POWERS 80 acres more or less, in all I judge there is 1500 to 2000 acres in this district. Mr. Powers has planted some cotton seed. J. T. HUMPHRIES took dinner with J. T. SANDLIN Sunday. W. F. PHIPPS and family visited Mr. ELLIOTT Sunday. E. B. FERGUSON has finished covering his new barn, he now has room for all his farming implements. H. O. CASE has built a new house this spring, MONROE JONES and ROBERT SYLENDER have done likewise. Mr. POWERS has built a new house and added more to the one he had. Our young people are preparing a program for the close of our literary society and will render in Saturday night, May 6. EMORY POWERS and GROVER SANDLIN were out buggy riding last Sunday. F. M. SCOTT keeps up with his work. Some of the members of Mr. BROWN's family are on the sick list. Come on Gregg, Willow Point, Oak College, Corun, Walker Valley, Diamond and Union with the news. Deer Creek Items J. P. THOMPSON is building a fine tank in order to have plenty of water during the summer months. MR. AINSWORTH, who has been confined to his bed for several weeks with rheumatism, is reported better. W. N. CATES sold his stock cattle and delivered to JOE ATKINS at $14 a had. Of course, we have good stock country. I. P. THOMPSON says he has oats that will hide a jack rabbit. MISSES NETTIE FRAZIER and IDA CARTER and WILL FRAZIER took dinner with MISS LUCY and MISS MARY DAVIS Sunday. J. H. THOMPSON was on a trading expedition Monday. Say HERMAN, what were you going to do with that sack of pups you were carrying around Sunday. You're not going to start a chili joint, are you? I. P. THOMPSON and wife took dinner with relatives in Comanche Friday. Willow Point Willow Point school closed Friday; we were all sorry to have it close. PROF. JOHNSON has been very kind to his pupils and all hated to see him go. Professor said there were 60 pupils present that he could count and six were running around that he couldn't count. MISS MAUD LEDBETTER, MISS UNA STEVENS and MILFRED STEVENS of Duncan were visiting J. A. LESTERS Saturday and Sunday. Quite a crowd of young folks gathered at M. T. MAUDLIN's Saturday night where they enjoyed themselves singing songs and playing games. MRS. LUNA GREEN's mother is visiting from Wichita, Kansas. ROSA BLACKBURN spent Sunday at Mr. LESTERS. ADDIE MEDLEY and ETHEL SMITH spent Sunday with ETHEL CLARK. EARL CLARK was all smiles Sunday. Wonder what happened? FRANK MALONE's and C. C. LESTER's buggies were seen bright and early Monday at J. P. HOUSTON's. Frank stayed in the Willow point neighborhood Sunday night. EARNEST LESTER spent Saturday with friends in Duncan. Oak College Chat MISS CUE and RUBY CONN and HARRY GANAWAY are visiting H. O. CONOVERS. MRS. PAUL YOUNG visited at Mr. THIETTEN's Sunday. PROF. BUTLER closed his school at Oak College last Friday. His entertainment in the evening was well attended and enjoyed by all. The Sunday School was well attended, about 100 being present. MISSES STELLA PATTY, MAMIE and EULA JOHNSON, Mr. PENSITON, FRANK HAKLA, HUGH TUCKER, and WILL RAY enjoyed the rain at E. J. EVERLEY's Sunday. MR. FIEHT returned from Caldwell, Kansas where he had been treated by his family doctor. He is much improved in health. MRS. BABE HART was called to the bedside of a brother who was thought could live but a few days. ED MCDONALD had the misfortune to lose a valuable horse a few days ago and has bought a fine team of colts. Terral Items MISSES ANNA STALEY, ESTA PURVIANCE, and MISS LISTON of Ringgold, Texas are here the guests of MRS. P. F. BRISCOE. MONROE HENDERSON was here Tuesday. W. J. HUDSON went to Duncan Tuesday to spend a week with home folks. The remains of CLAY BELDIN arrived here Monday night from El Paso, Texas where he was crushed to death by a locomotive Saturday morning. The funeral services were held Tuesday evening at the home of his mother, MRS. MARY COLBERT. Clay was raised in Terral and was well liked by all who knew him. He was night clerk to the Texas and Pacific switch yards at El Paso when he was killed. MRS. J. S. VANDENBURG has been sick for the past few days. DR. E. E. CARLTON and J. D. GORDON of Ringgold were in Terral Saturday. A number of our people attended court at Ryan. The beautiful new residence of R. E. SCHOOLFIELD is nearing completion. When completed, EMMIT will have the nicest residence in town. LEE JONES went to Fort Worth Saturday. MRS. J. M. LEWIS returned from Chickasha Friday. MRS. B. L.
