Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Central Christian Church of Caldwell, Kan., with John Park Winkler officiating. Burial will be in Caldwell City Cemetery. Local arrangements are under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home and there will be no visitation in Duncan. Schaeffer Mortuary will be handling arrangements in Caldwell. Mr. Adams was born June 29, 1929, in Beauchamp, Ark., to Daniel Aden and Eula Ramsey Adams. He married Mary Lou Gearhart in 1958. He then married Willa Reser Thrower on June 12, 1975, in Caldwell. Mr. Adams was retired as a grocer and butcher, manager and owner at Jones, Tulsa, Oklahoma City and Caldwell, Kan. He served as City of Caldwell Municipal Judge and was a volunteer fireman at Jones. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge and Masonic Lodge of Jones and the Caldwell Lions Club. He was a member of First Christian Church. Survivors include his wife of the home; five sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel Joe and Lynn Kim Adams of Chino Hills, Calif., Stephen Lee and Debra Adams of Mannford, Larry Wayne and Julia Thrower of Redwood Shores, Calif., Mark Anthony and Dana Thrower of Fairmont, and Michael David and Rebecca Adams of Enid; two brothers and a sister-in-law, William A. "Dub" and Sharon Adams of Checotah and J.C. Adams of Ponca City; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Agnes Tate of Jones, Imogene Moore of Koos Bay, Ore., and Nina and Henry Elliott of Clancy, Mont.; and five grandchildren, Kristen, Gregory, Aaron and Zoe Adams, and Danaka Thrower. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Troylynn Adams, in 1959.
