All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm +========================================================================+ Duncan Banner 7 Sep 2003 Billy Joe Aldridge LIBERAL, Kan. — Billy Joe Aldridge, 56, of Liberal, Kan., died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003, at the Lone Tree Compassionate Care Center in Meade, Kan. Graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Duncan Cemetery, with Buddy Aldridge presiding. Arrangements are by Miller Mortuary in Liberal. Billy Joe was born on Dec. 30, 1946, at Seminole, to Orville and Louise Klaus Aldridge. He graduated from Empire High School in 1965. Aldridge was a veteran, serving in the US Army. He was an oil field diesel mechanic for 30 years, and had moved to Liberal in 2000. He was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ in Duncan. He married Bobette Young on Aug. 22, 1969, at Seiling. She died Feb. 9, 1976. He is survived by two sons, Brian Keith Aldridge and his wife, Michelle, of Fort Worth and Shane Aldridge and his fiancee, Sherie Spencer, of Liberal; one daughter, Melissa McKee and her husband, Brent, of Woodward; his mother, Louise Castell of Eufaula; two brothers, Brenny Aldridge and his wife, Kathy, of Duncan and Buddy Aldridge and his wife, Christa, of Newton, Kan.; a sister, Beverly Grange and her husband, Ed, of Manville, Texas; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the Billy Joe Aldridge Memorial Fund at Community Bank in Liberal, or to Miller Mortuary, P.O.
