All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Elmwood Cemetery--Guymon OK Duncan Banner 20 Mar 2003 Charles Edwin Biffle Charles Edwin Biffle, 64, of Woodward died Wednesday, March 19, 2003, in Woodward Regional Hospital. Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Garden Chapel of Johnson's Good Samaritan Funeral Service in Woodward, with the Rev. Jason Dirks officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Charles Edwin was born Aug. 23, 1938, in Comanche, to Roy Charles and Ruby Audrey Youngblood Biffle. He grew up in Comanche and graduated from Comanche High School. He married Joyce Marie Qualls on March 9, 1957, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Mr. Biffle enlisted in the United States Navy in May 1957 and served during the Cuban conflict. After his discharge in December 1960, the family made their home in Hugoton, Kan., where he began working in the oil field. They moved to Woodward in 1965, and Charles continued to work in the oil field. He started his own oil field rental business called Biffco Packers. He loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Fishing was also a favorite pastime. Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Pam and Doug Thompson of Buffalo and Robin Biffle of Woodward; a sister, Dovie Huckabaa of Duncan; four brothers, Robert Biffle, Lee Biffle and Jerry Biffle, all of Duncan, and Price Biffle of Fort Worth, Texas; six grandchildren, Jeff Thomas, Nicole Schrick, Michelle Brenton, Scotty Hixson, Stephanie Thompson and Cindy Thompson; two great-grandchildren, Colton and Jaxon; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Roy Biffle; and a grandson, Christopher Adam McCurdy.
