Service was to be at 1:30 p.m. today in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. G.W. Howard officiating and W.M. Howard assisting. Burial was to be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Best was born March 5, 1918, in Fort Scott, Kan., to Whithouser and Mary Bell Jensen Nye. She married Albert "Babe" Williams and he preceded her in death in 1982. She married Clad W. Best, and he preceded her in death. She was a nurse at Plato Manor and was a waitress at the Good Luck Cafe. She was a member of Hilltop Church of God. Survivors include four daughters, Margie Ponse-Martinez of Marlow, Maxcine Lion of Comanche, Patsy Howard of Marlow and Reba Sosebee of Wichita Falls; a brother, Charles L. Simmons of Cadillac, Mich.; three sisters, Ruby Sutton of Lawton and Gertrude Copeland and Margie Louise Wilkinson, both of Duncan; 22 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great- grandchildren; and a great-great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Marvin Williams in 1996; and two husbands. Bearers will be her grandsons.
