All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Duncan Banner 7 Apr 2002 Mozelle Cope Bailey Mozelle Cope Bailey of the Empire Community passed from this Earth on Saturday, April 6, 2002. Mozelle was born March 12, 1926, in Seminole and grew up in Ada. She married T.O. Bailey in Lovington, N.M., in 1950, and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 7, 2000. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2002, in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Spangler officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Mozelle was a homemaker and was active many years in square dancing, water skiing and snow skiing. After her husband retired, Mozelle and T.O. returned, and they made their home in the Empire community. Mozelle is survived by her husband of the home; a grandson, Thomas Edward Reese of Dallas; a son-in-law, Jack Reese; two sisters-in-law, Betty Cope of Wichita Falls, and Mamie Jo Cope of Big Springs, Texas. Also, a brother-in-law, Delbert and Cleta Bailey; and sisters-in-law, Marguerite Whatley and Opal Bailey; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mozelle was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Reese; and a sister, Juanita Cope; and three brothers, Vinus, Johnny and Hubert Cope.
