All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Odessa American 30 Apr 2004 Lorena Bell ODESSA — Lorena Bell, 83, a longtime resident of Odessa, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at Regency Hospital. She was born October 3, 1920, in Duncan, Okla., to Dewitt Thalmage Williams and Dona Caywood Williams. She was a homemaker and a member of Eisenhower Church of Christ. She married Johnie Bell in 1937 in Duncan, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie Bell; parents; daughter, Jo Ann Lyons Fuqua; six brothers; two sisters; one grandson; two sons-in- law. She is survived by her daughter, Sue Jones Hubbard and husband, Pat; son, Dwane “Sonny” Bell and wife, Carole, all of Odessa; sisters, Dorothy Perry of Oak Point, Texas, and Luvada Cryer of Oklahoma City, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her family and numerous friends. She spent her entire life serving others. There will be a visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2004, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2004, at the Eisenhower Church of Christ with Burt Groves officiating. Burial will be at 6 p.m. Saturday in Garden of Memories Cemetery between DeLeon and Comanche, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Eisenhower Church of Christ.
