All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Duncan Banner Staff 21 Nov 2002 Cleda Rue Black Cleda Rue Black, 87, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, in Pico Rivera, Calif. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel in Duncan. Burial will follow in Alma Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday afternoon in the funeral home. Mrs. Black was born July 19, 1915, in Countyline, the daughter of L.C. and Myrtle Rue. She married John F. Black in December of 1930, and moved to Pampa, Texas, in 1939. He preceded her in death in 1985. Mrs. Black was a member of the Mary Ellen Harvester Church of Christ. She lived in Pampa until 1995, when she moved to Pico Rivera, to live with her daughter, Charlie. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include two daughters, Johnnie Black Bonner of Balko, and Charlie Black Holiman of Pico Rivera; a sister, Betty Rue Norton; a granddaughter, Terry Holiman Locke; three grandsons, Jackie D. Bonner, Steven G. Holiman and John F. Bonner; a great-grandson; two great- granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
