All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::New Velma Cemetery--Velma OK Duncan Banner 22 Apr 2003 Jimmie 'Jim' Neal Bullock Jimmie "Jim" Neal Bullock, 55, of El Reno, formerly of Velma, died Sunday, April 20, 2003, in Oklahoma City. Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Velma Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Vance Kitchens officiating. Burial will be in the New Velma Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the Grantham Velma Chapel from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday in the Velma Baptist Church. Jim was born Aug. 17, 1947, in Olney, Texas, to Wendell Neal and Louise Berry Bullock. He was a 1965 graduate of Velma High School. He married Karen Kitchens on May 27, 1972, in Crowder. Mr. Bullock was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army. He worked in the oilfield, retiring from Skelly Oil Company. He was a member of the VFW, the Elks Lodge and the Eagles, all in El Reno. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Karen, of the home; his mother, Louise, of El Reno; a brother, Jackie Bullock of El Reno; five nephews; five nieces; and a multitude of friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Bearers will be Jackie Bullock, Don Bulla, Joe Bob Norton, Harold Darity, Kenneth Maxwell and Jay Jenkins. Honorary bearers are Nanette LeBlue, Warren Anderson and Buster Bass. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Transplant Institute or the El Reno Public School Foundation, P.O.
